‘We are extremely proud of such a superb set of outcomes for our students in the latest round of GCSE results, and particularly pleased with our performance against the new English Baccalaureate performance measure. Such a strong academic performance is a reflection of the talents and hardworking ethos of our students, and the personalised approach of our highly skilled staff in ensuring that each student gets the grades they deserve. We are also very fortunate to have a great deal of parental support which contributes considerably to the culture of success and achievement for all at Ryedale School.
Examples of superb individual success include Saskia Fullerton-Smith (9 A*s 1 A), Harry Hodgson (8A*s, 2 As), Richard Ware (8 A*s, 2 As), Rebecca Hickman (7 A*s, 2 As, 1 B), Louise White (1 A*, 8 As, 1 B), Ashleigh Charlton (4 A*s, 6 As), Christina Leach (5 A*s, 4 As, 1 B), Robert Nicholls (5 A*s, 3 As, 2 Bs), Daisy Dunning (2 A*s, 8 As), Verity Johnson (2 A*s, 8 As). Our Applied Learning students also performed superbly, and our congratulations go to Beau Waengkaew and Lucinda Coultas who both achieved a ‘Distinction*’ equivalent to 4 A*s in Animal Care, and Jolley Gosnold who achieved a ‘Distinction*’ in the Performing Arts.
A very big thank you to staff, parents and governors for all of their hard work. Congratulations to our students on a brilliant set of results! I am sure that they will give you an outstanding base from which to fulfil your potential in the future’.

]]>A big thank you to all those involved in the (very) wet car boot sale this Sunday.
Despite being rained off in the end, everyone involved made a huge effort to keep things going. The most popular area ended up being the dining room where hot drinks and bacon buttys were the order of the day.
Despite the rain, the effort paid off and several hundred pounds were raised towards the Ryedale Kenya 2012 project.
